Toolkit – a guidebook for assessing social and emotional skills at school!
Our project team is happy to introduce to you the renewed Toolkit for Assessing Social
and Emotional Skills at School .
The Toolkit is a joint product of all the project partners. It is a practical guidebook for school teachers and school managers on strengthening social and emotional learning (SEL) in schools.
The toolkit covers:
-Basic information about SEL and its importance for wellbeing and success;
-Tips on how to organize and sustain SEL at school school;
-Recommendations on how to create a safe and caring social environments for SEL;
-Descriptions of 11 learning methods that can help support SEL in any classroom;
-Introduction into Formative assessment and its application in assessing social and emotional competences;
– Some practical Tools for assesing SEL on individual, classroom and the whole school levels (see Annexes).
Although, this guidebook is primarily targeted at school teachers, it can also be used by other educators in non-formal education, including youth workers, sports
coaches, art teachers and others. We believe it is important that all educators that have relation to children and the youth share common understanding about the
nature of social and emotional learning and the guiding principles for its effective implementation.

All materials are FREE and available in English, Lithuanian, Latvian, Slovenian, Italian and Spanish languages.
