13 Giu Working Groups Meetings On Toolkit Development
Learning to Be project partners gathered several times to prepare for the trial stage of the project, starting in the Spring, 2018. The first working group meeting was held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 25-26 September, 2018 and was devoted to the development of the “Toolkit for Assessing Social and Emotional Skills at School”. The partners discussed the topic of social and emotional learning and its standards that could serve as a reference for students’ assessment and planning of further learning, as well as assessment tools for teachers and students for periodic self-assessment of students‘ progress developing social and emotional skills.
Working group meeting on research tools development took place on 15-16 November in Helsinki, Finland. The meeting included the review of the social emotional learning and health promotion research, discussing the details of research tools and practical preparations for the research by building action plans.
Monitoring and support for the schools involved the trail stage of the project, as well as the workshops for schools were discussed in the third working group meeting on 9-10 April, 2018 in Riga, Latvia. Partners worked on the monitoring procedures for evaluation of school’s work, guidelines and procedures for school support staff. On the next meeting day partners focused on the workshop environment and trainer needs, workshop goals, expectations and structure.
